hiyas :)

While not of faith, I am open to the concepts presented, I am just struggling a lot with many of the concepts, and having great difficulty understanding how the basis for a lot of the teachings of various denominations work .. so I am truly trying to get to grips with the conceptual part of christianity, my issues being I am finding the more I actually study it, the more I am having difficulty accepting the material presented.

So I am here in honest enquiry, transparent (hence my signature warning people that I am indeed a non-believer) and hope that folk here are able to contribute to a more in depth discussion on what is an important aspect of our modern world, whether believer or non-believer.

As I said, I am open to the concepts presented, but finding it impossible to accept much of what is presented for quite good reasons (in my opinion) and hoping that folk here can clear me up on my possible misconceptions of what is the reality of Christianity.

I find it a fascinating thing, that people can be so fully involved in mentally, but every time I try answering the questions I have with regard faith, Jesus and God, I tend to find I am excluded, and generally because I am actually thinking about the concepts, and not just accepting them. I would think if there was a God (christian) or a god of any description, would they turn away from me in such a quest? Would they favour those that fear an afterlife over me, simply because I try to justify in my head the existence of God?

Thanks for your time, and as per my post in the complaints section (which I thought I best fit, even tho not complaining but questioning) feel free to remove all my posts if I am just a lost cause to belief.

Heyho! I think its great that you're searching for reasons and explanations. God wants us to have faith, but i do not believe he asks us to have it with a brainless abandon! I have to confess that im not particularly an academic sort myself, but my husband? He to wants to know! Keep looking, God is there, Jesus did come and im sure there are factual things to point to this!
Good luck with the site!

If today was you last day...?
